Professional Experience:
  A native of Fort Lauderdale, Frank Gernert graduated from the Florida State University College of Business while working with McKenzie Tank Lines.  Frank then became associated with Huizenga Holdings which involved a wide range of responsibilities that included being the first employee of the Florida Marlins Baseball Club as Marketing Coordinator for the expansion effort concluding with his role as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Florida Marlins, Director of Sales for the Miami Dolphins and Director of Sales for Sun Life Stadium (formerly Dolphins Stadium) concurrently.  

Frank left Huizenga Holdings to become one of three founding partners of U.S. Imaging Solutions then transitioning to the acquisition of Professional Diving Schools of Florida and Professional Diving Charters of Florida.  At this time, Frank was redeveloping a property on Fort Lauderdale Beach and the Intracoastal Waterway to become home to Coconuts Restaurant and the collective Pro Dive companies. 

After completing the sale of the Pro Dive Companies and Coconuts, Frank combined his professional skill set under the name of Florida General Enterprises as a business development and collaborative relationship management specialist focusing in the recreational marine industry as well as premium music events. 

Although, not currently active, Frank is a licensed Pilot, carries a USCG Captain’s license and has numerous affiliations including two appointments by Governors Bush and Crist to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Boating Advisory Council with further inclusion to the FWC Florida Boating Improvement Fund Grant Review Committee. 

Frank has been involved many organizations including serving on the Boards of Barry University Andreas School of Business, Nova Southeastern University Oceanographic Center, State of Florida Parks and Recreation (John U. Lloyd State Park) Master Planning and many others.
