Martin County Manatee Protection Zones

On November 27, 1990, The Governor and the Cabinet adopted a Manatee  Protection Plan for Martin County which included a number of boat speed regulatory zones designed to minimize the number of accidental strikes by boats to manatees.  The plan is now Florida Law Section 68C-22.024 F.A.C. (Acrobat Reader is required)

Boat speed regulatory zones also exist in Martin County for boating safety.  These are found in Florida Law Section 68D-24.143 F.A.C. (Acrobat Reader is required)
