Regular Board Meeting and Public Outreach Scheduled - Brevard's County June 2018

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Board of Commissioners of the Florida Inland Navigation District announces public meetings to which all persons are invited.

DATES AND TIMES:  8:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2018 & 8:30 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018.

PLACES:  The Friday and Saturday morning meetings will be held at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, 1550 North Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, (Brevard County), FL 32931-3230. The Friday evening event will also be held at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront. 

PURPOSES:  On Friday morning, June 15, 2018 at 8:00 a.m., a meeting of the District's Board of Commissioners will be held to conduct the regular business of the District and review FY 2018/19 Assistance Program requests.  On Saturday morning, June 16, 2018 at 8:30 a.m., the regular Board meeting will reconvene at the same location to continue review of FY 2018/19 Assistance Program requests.  The District’s Finance and Budget Committee may also meet. On Friday evening, June 15, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., the District will be hosting a Community Outreach Event at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront to provide an opportunity for the District’s Commissioners and staff to meet and discuss waterway-related issues with local public officials, community leaders and the public. This event is free and open to all members of the public. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Commission with respect to any matter considered at these meetings, they will need a record of the proceeding, and for such purposes, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. Any person requiring a special accommodation at this meeting because of a disability or physical impairment should contact the District a minimum of three (3) days prior to the meeting.
